Swim Lesson Information

Pricing Information

• Each lesson is 30-minutes long.  Please read class descriptions below for more information. 
• Private and Semi-private lessons are available as soon as your neighborhood pool opens and we have an instructor available and can take place anytime throughout the summer until the pool closes. 
• Group lessons will start as soon as the first session is scheduled (see below).
• See below for more information on discounts. 

Semi-private Lessons

• 2 – 3 students per lesson
• Lessons can be scheduled at any day and time you choose (except pool cleaning days) depending on instructor availability.
• Multiple lessons per week may be arranged depending on instructor availability.

Private Lessons

• 1 student per lesson
• Lessons can be scheduled at any day and time you choose (except pool cleaning days) depending on instructor availability.
• Multiple lessons per week may be arranged depending on instructor availability

Group Classes

Group classes are offered during the following sessions: 

      Session 1:  week of June 15 - 26
      Session 2:  week of July 6 – 17
      Session 3:  week of July 20 - July 31
      Session 4:  week of August 3 - 14

Each group session includes 8 total lessons, 4 lessons per week for 2 weeks. Each lesson is 30 minutes long.  Classes will be taught Monday – Friday but will not occur on the day your neighborhood is closed due to pool cleaning and maintenance (for most pools this is Monday or Tuesday.)  Makeup lessons for weather cancellations or instructor illness will be determined by the swim lesson coordinator and instructor as needed. Most makeup lessons should occur on weekends or the week after the session ends. 

Class times will be determined by the Friday before lessons are scheduled to begin and will be based on customer demand, instructor and pool availability.  Classes are formed based on skill levels whenever possible.  Please see the skill level page for more information.  Each group class is limited to 4 – 5 participants.

Session dates are subject to change based on customer and instructor availability.  If you have a conflict and are unsure please register or contact the swim lesson coordinator to see if we can make other arrangements if possible. 
Group lessons must have 4 students per session in order to have a group class.  If a class does not fill there are several options we will offer you to help ensure that your child will still receive lessons. These options include taking lessons at a nearby pool that has a group available, switching to semi-private lessons or waiting to see if other swimmers register for another group session later in the summer.   Please see the swim lesson policies page for more information on this subject. 

Not all neighborhoods will have group lessons due to insufficient demand.  We welcome you trying to find more participants in your neighborhood or guests when this is the case.

Discount Information

Semi-private & Private Lesson Discounts

• Discounts apply to 6 or more lessons scheduled at the time of registration.
• Full payment is due by the Friday before the lessons are scheduled to begin.

Group Family Discounts

• Each child must be enrolled in the same session to receive the discount.
• The first child enrolled will pay the full price.  Each child after the first child will receive a $5 discount.
• Full payment is due by the Friday before the lessons are schedule to begin.

Payment Options

We accept cash, money order, check and VISA & MASTERCARD.  VISA & MASTERCARD payments can only be made over the telephone through our office or through the swim lesson coordinator. Online payments will be available beginning June 1, 2009. Credit card payment must be received by the first day of class. If paying by cash or check, your place in class must be held with a credit card. This credit card hold will be given to the swim lesson coordinator but will not be run unless payment is not received by the 3rd day of class. Cash or check payments must be given directly to the swim lesson coordinator or sent to our office by the 3rd day of class. Swim lesson instructors are not allowed to accept any payments. You do not have pay for your swim lessons until you receive a confirmation email/phone call from the swim lesson coordinator verifying the dates and times of class. Once your class has been scheduled, times verified and payment received, no refunds will be offered.
